Gardening was something I never thought about until recently. It's a relaxing way to spend time in the yard and forget about things.
It's also a way to beautify your surroundings. And in a warmer climate, there are plenty of flowers to go around.
One thing you might learn right away if you are new to gardening is that there is a style to it - certain layouts are in vogue and certain other layouts go out of vogue.
As we head into the fall, we will be rotating the plants on display, and while the petunias and supertunias continue to bloom, it's best to bring other plants into the mix.
Here's one to consider now: The Aster. It has nice shades of color and is easy to grow. Just give it full sun and well drained soil.
